Since leaving teaching over 30 years ago, Mr. Zeisel has been a founder or co-founder of more than 6 enterprises, one of which was sold to a NYSE listed company (Teleflex®).  He has also served in roles as Managing Director, CFO, COO and Chief Restructuring Officer in a variety of industries. Doug’s career includes 16 years’ experience doing turnarounds and workouts as a certified as a Turnaround Professional (CTP) which requires a deep understanding of all aspects of business operations. Prior to forming TCV, he was a partner at Tatum, a national professional services firm that provided interim CFO services to middle market companies. Â

Doug co-developed the SCALEUP Maryland curriculum for bwtech@UMBC. He has led multiple start ups to win NSF SBIR awards as well as TEDCO MII and University of MD MIPS grants and has a deep understanding of the technology commercialization process.Â

Doug has a M.S. in Finance degree from Loyola University and a B.S. (Physics) from the University of Maryland. He is a past University of Maryland Dingman Center Mentor and a past TEDCO RBI2 advisor to technology start up enterprises. Doug is a trusted advisor to the Maryland Industrial Partnerships Fund (MIPS).
